Dear Congregants,
As a very important part of our congregation's Jewish life and practice, we have a Social Justice Program through which our members can fulfill our community service obligation of tikkun olam - making the world a better place for all. With the many members we have at Temple Emanu El, there are as many different ideas about which community service activities we should have in our Social Justice Program.
In recent months, we’ve reconstituted our Social Justice Committee. Our committee’s first order of business is to get a better understanding of how our congregation views community service and acts of tikkun olam. We would like to create a fun and enjoyable program that everyone can participate in, so we need to know what you are interested in.
The Social Justice Committee invites you to participate in a survey which we hope will give us greater insight into our congregation’s service interests and activities. It is short - only 10 questions - and we would like ALL adults to participate so that we have everyone’s opinion.
To express our appreciation for your participation, when you complete the survey, you will be automatically included in a drawing to win one of two Starbucks gift cards! The drawing will be May 3rd, so you'll need to complete the survey by the end of the month. Don’t worry, we'll send you a reminder so you won't miss being a part of the drawing!
