History
Temple Emanu-El was founded in 1978 by a small group of families with a beautiful vision: to create a spiritual home where they and their children could live and learn as Jews. Today, it is our challenge to keep this vision alive.

Temple Emanu-El has continued to evolve, meeting the growing needs of our congregation families. Originally designed for about 450 families, we are bursting at the seams with more than 830 families.

Ours is a congregation dedicated to upholding the principles of Reform Judaism and Jewish family values. We are a congregation deeply committed to Tikkun Olam -- Repairing the World -- through our ethical and social responsibilities to our community, our world and the land of Israel. When you give to the capital campaign, you'll be giving to all these goals and values, with benefits for every group.

Since our founding we've created many ways for our congregants to participate, to learn, to grow and to connect to God, Torah and the Jewish people. Our mission today continues with these founding principles :

Fostering Jewish identity
Providing youth and adult Jewish education
Encouraging ritual practices and observances
Creating social responsibility and action
Fostering Jewish family values
Ensuring that Temple Emanu-El continues to thrive for future generations

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary in March, 2008 with a Black Tie Gala and 30th Anniversary Heirloom Book.  Below are just some of the images portrayed in our 124-page Hierloom Book.
